A new innovative ceramic material -- Vikaflex
Vikaflex is a new innovative ceramic material. The production process is similar to the production process of ceramic for tiles and flooring The new developed technology, introducing a nanotechnology approach to control the pyroexpansion process, allows the incorporation of closed pores, inside the ceramic material creating a new material that we could be describe as a rigid ceramic foam. Being able to control de tri dimensional expansion of the material, using this new technology, we can produce large monolithic, lightweight panels, with high mechanical strength, impermeable, sound and heat insulator and fire proof to be used in civil construction, in multiplying uses, replacing cardboard gypsum and wood panels currently used to build walls, ceiling lining, partition walls, etc. Vikaflex, being a ceramic material, keeps all characteristics of bricks and roof tiles, proven to be, by its millenarian use in civil construction, the best material for this purpose. This new material not only preserves and enhance the characteristics of ceramic, but also, because of its strength and lightness, introduces the possibility to produce large panel. A panel measuring 1.800 mm x 1.200 mm x 12 mm is going to weight less than 22 kg. It’s important to mention that all kinds of currently used coating materials could be applied without any change, on this new material. Always remember that this is ceramic material, as bricks are, there are no need to changes in tools and methods used in construction This new material could be produced with very low cost everywhere in the world being only necessary to search and select adequate raw material.
